How It Works

In order to have access to MyDigitalMD, you must be an RMHP member on an Employer, Individual or Family, Medicaid Prime or RCCO plan. Once you are a member, you can easily access MyDigitalMD. All you need is a computer or mobile device with a high speed Internet connection. If you have an iOS mobile device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch), you can download the app from the Apple App Store by searching for 'MyDigitalMD'. Latest generation Android mobile devices can access MyDigitalMD through either Chrome Mobile or Firefox for Android browsers. Once you are connected to a high speed Internet Connection:

1. Register for or sign-into your account using the same credentials as for Access RMHP. For first time users, please add your basic health information, as you would for an office visit, into your MyDigitalMD profile, including medications, allergies and a brief medical history (recent health issues and any chronic conditions). This information will enable our doctors to most effectively respond to your questions and recommend a plan of action.

2. Once MyDigitalMD is loaded, you can start messaging directly with an actual doctor, or you can schedule a video appointment through the built-in calendar for the next available slot or for whenever is convenient. You can enter the video chat from your home screen up to 10 minutes before your scheduled time, and the doctor will join when they are ready. In order to video chat, your computer will need a webcam and microphone.

First, you must be an RMHP Member. Then, your MyDigitalMD service is active as soon after you register and activate your account for MyDigitalMD (see question above). You will need to activate your account and complete the brief health history questions before you can schedule a visit.
With very few exceptions, MyDigitalMD is accessible from anywhere that has an Internet connection.
At this time, only English is available.

Yes. Like seeing any doctor, if you are referred to another provider, the co-pay or coinsurance applies if applicable to your RMHP insurance plan. If your condition needs follow-up, the doctor might refer you to a local provider or to your Primary Care Doctor.
No, it is very different. You will be working with actual doctors, not nurses. Our doctors can triage, provide diagnostic-driven medical advice, develop treatment plans and prescribe many medications.

Prescriptions

Yes. If the doctor on MyDigitalMD believes you need to be treated with medication, he or she can write a prescription for most medications (no controlled substances or lifestyle drugs (i.e. Viagra), which will be sent directly to your pharmacy. Then you just pick up your prescription like you normally would.

For a current list of DEA controlled substances visit here.
Your physician might request tests to assist with your healthcare. If this is the case, they will refer you to a lab or physician to get the tests complete. Standard costs per your RMHP insurance plan would apply if you're referred for additional tests.

Security & Privacy

Yes, MyDigitalMD is compliant with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and will only share your information with the physician, pharmacy, and referring physicians or labs and RMHP.
Yes, MyDigitalMD maintains a complete record of your online visit, which is available to you for review, at your convenience. You can also share your visit record with anyone you wish to, such as your primary care provider.
